MICHAEL CARRICK has stepped up his recovery from a heart scare by returning to training with Manchester United.
The former England midfielder announced in November he had undergone a cardiac procedure.
That came after he suffered dizzy spells following a Carabao Cup tie in late September.
The clash with Burton remains the 36-year-old’s only appearance for United‘s first team this season.
But there was some positive news from manager Jose Mourinho on Thursday.
He said: “Michael Carrick is back to training.
“Not competition yet – but he is back to training with the team.”
Mourinho also revealed Romelu Lukaku is fit to play against Derby tonight.
