Man United beat Real Madrid and top the table…for selling most replica shirts worldwide

MANCHESTER UNITED are selling more shirts than any other team in the world.

The Red Devils sold on average 1,750,000 a year between 2011 and 2016, according to a study by consultancy Marketing PR.

Chelsea (899,000), are fifth in the list with Liverpool (852,000) sixth and and Arsenal (835,000) seventh.

Next come Paris St Germain on 526,000 and Juventus on 452,000.

Industry insider Dr Peter Rohlmann and his team at PR Marketing claim that United sold on average 1.75m shirts per year in the period between 2011 and 2016.

Dr Rohlmann, a veteran analyst who has authored a number of in-depth studies into kit supply deals and sales by Europe’s elite clubs, has not been surprised by the staggering figures.
