AC MILAN defender Luca Antonelli was rushed to hospital after a horror clash with his own team-mate.
As he lay on the ground Rossoneri players had to reach into his mouth to stop Antonelli swallowing his own tongue.
Antonelli’s head crashed into the hip of a team-mate as the ball was swung into the box just before the hour mark during the Serie A game against Udinese.
And there was then major concern at the San Siro for the 13-cap international, who was treated ahead of being taken off the field on a stretcher and away from the ground.
Milan have yet to publish a statement although conflicting reports said Antonelli was in hospital after suffering a head or neck injury, with one stating he had broken his collarbone.
Stipe Perica’s 88th-minute goal gave Udinese the win.
It was an eventful day in Italy, as Joe Hart was labelled ‘John’ before a handling error saw his Torino debut end in embarrassment.
Genoa’s game with Fiorentina and Sampdoria’s trip to Roma were also suspended due to torrential downpours.
