LOUIS VAN GAAL has been linked with the vacant Bayern Munich job.
And that despite having been sacked by the German giants in 2011, putting a great strain on the Dutchman’s rapport with Bayern president Uli Hoeness.

Former Manchester United manager Van Gaal, 66, did win the domestic double and reach the Champions League final in 2009-10.
And he has previous…
For Van Gaal returned to manage both Barcelona and the Netherlands for a second time.
Last week’s 3-0 Champions League hammering by Paris Saint-Germain saw the end of Carlo Ancelotti at the Allianz.
According to Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung Van Gaal is in the running to take over. But there are other possibilities for the German champions.
Former French international Willy Sagnol has taken over caretaker duties, though their collapse at Hertha Berlin at the weekend would seem to rule him out.
Former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel, along with Hoffenheim’s Julian Nagelsmann, have been labelled as the front-runners for the position.
But, along with Van Gaal, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp is also surprisingly mentioned.

Van Gal, meanwhile, has been in management for over 25 years.
He previously bossed Ajax, had those two spells at Barcelona, and took Holland to the semi-finals of the 2014 World Cup.
Then he succeeded David Moyes at Old Trafford.
Two largely unheralded seasons followed but United did win the FA Cup in 2016.
Otherwise they were hamstrung by Van Gaal's an ultra-cautious attitude to attacking football.

He was sacked last year having been continually stalked by rumours - true as they turned out - that Jose Mourinho would replace him.
