CROCKED Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is on the road to recovery with his lookalike mum and dad by his side following successful knee surgery.
The German, who has an almost scary resemblance of his father in particular, has called upon his family for support as he prepares for a long rehabilitation battle.

Gundogan suffered a cruciate ligament injury in Man City’s 2-0 win over Watford and will be out until at least the end of the season.
The player shared some encouraging news, confirming that his operation had been successful just two days before Christmas but it’s unclear whether the German international made it home in time for the special day.
The 26-year old captioned a photo from his hospital bed: “Hi guys! I’m doing well and today’s surgery went fine. Now it’s another road to recovery

Man City performed a much-maligned tribute to Gundogan before their match against Arsenal, with all the team’s starting XI wearing replicas of his number 8 shirt.
Even the player himself seemed to think his teammates had gone slightly over the top as he jokingly tweeted to confirm he was still alive.
He wrote: “Thanks to my teammates

& of course – congrats to my boys to this crucial win against #AFC

Gundogan has been one of City’s standout performers this season but so far Pep Guardiola’s side have coped well in his absence.

Man City defender Gael Clichy has revealed this week how the squad has come together following their teammate’s season ending injury.
The Frenchman told the club’s website: “It’s always negative but you have to look for positive things when those things happen.
“We are thinking about him. He’s been a major player for us in those 10 or 15 games and has shown everyone he deserves a starting place in the team.
“…sometimes that is your destiny and you have got to be strong to come back as quickly as possible.”
