LIVERPOOL wasted no time getting back into training after beating Manchester City… as Mohamed Salah underwent a scan on his groin injury.
The 25-year-old opened the scoring against the Citizens in the 3-0 drubbing at Anfield last night, before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sadio Mane added goals before half-time.

But the Egyptian forward was forced off early in the second half against the Premier League leaders, leaving him a major doubt to face Everton this weekend.
Salah has been instrumental for Jurgen Klopp‘s men this season, where he has banged in 38 goals and chalked up 13 assists in all competitions.
The former Chelsea winger set up Mane shortly before the break, as the Reds take a commanding lead going into the return leg at the Etihad next week.
Such was the devastating performance of the rampant Reds, Salah was spotted apologising to City defender Aymeric Laporte at half-time.

When asked by BT Sport if Salah’s injury was potentially serious, Klopp allayed fears, as he said: “I hope not.
“He said to me immediately after the game ‘all fine, all good’ and we hope that’s the case. We have to wait for that.”
TOP OF THE KOPS Where does Liverpool’s demolition of City rank among Anfield’s greatest European nights?
But the win against Pep Guardiola’s side has been marred after Liverpool fans pelted the City team bus with bottles and missiles prior to the clash.
Uefa have since opened disciplinary proceedings against the Merseyside outfit, with the team bus having at least one window smashed.

Guardiola was heavily critical of the incident, as he said: “Normally when the police know that is going to happen, they try to avoid it happening.
“The bus is destroyed. I didn’t expect that a club as prestigious as Liverpool would do these kind of things.”
