JOE GOMEZ will miss Liverpool’s Champions League showdowns with Manchester City after being ruled out for a month.
The Anfield defender, 20, suffered an ankle injury early on in Friday’s friendly with Holland.

Early diagnoses have ruled him out for four weeks, meaning he will miss both legs of the quarter-final.
And it will leave him sweating on next month’s semi-finals if the Reds get through.
Gomez has become an important player for Liverpool this season, making 29 appearances in all competitions.
Part of his emergence has been down to a long-term injury suffered by Nathaniel Clyne, giving centre-back Gomez a run on the right-hand side.

He’s been sharing the position with fellow youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold.
But Gomez’s experience at playing in both positions has made him an ideal candidate to feature in Gareth Southgate’s three-man defence.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are confident that Emre Can will be fit to face Crystal Palace this weekend.
The German is still feeling the effects of a back injury picked up against Watford but could return to the team on Saturday.
