The young player was also left in limbo after the switch was canned as he was banned from joining another club until Stoke received £49,000 compensation.

The matter under investigation was a potential signing two years ago
Liverpool reached an agreement with Stoke and were about to register the player but the Premier League introduced new guidelines.
They banned deals whereby individual players would have their school fees paid for, meaning Liverpool would have had to give all their academy players the same private education.
When the Reds decided they were not prepared to do so, the deal was off – leaving the youngster without a club when his parents pulled out of the deal.

Their allegation then led to the inquiry – and subsequent investigations discovered the payment of additional expenses, including match tickets, which are prohibited.
Meanwhile, the youngster cannot join another club unless they are prepared to pay £49,000, under Premier League rules.
Manchester City are also currently under investigation into their recruitment of youth players.
