Liverpool boost as Joe Gomez makes emotional return to senior training for first time in 12 months
LIVERPOOL left-back Joe Gomez has returned to full senior training for the first time in 12 months.
The defender has been out of action for a year after picking up a serious knee ligament injury which has shattered his progress at Anfield.

But in a massive boost to both Gomez and manager Jurgen Klopp, the 19-year-old returned to the first team on Thursday and was greeted to an emotional round of applause by his team-mates according to the Liverpool Echo.

Signed by Brendan Rodgers from Charlton for just £3.5million in June 2015, Gomez made seven appearances for the Reds before his cruel injury.
Gomez ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament whilst representing England Under-21 last October.
But his road to recovery took another huge setback when he picked up an Achilles problem during the summer.
Liverpool will undoubtedly be keen not to rush Gomez back into full fitness and is expected to take small steps before introducing back into first team football.
