Liverpool ace Emre Can still set to quit Anfield despite Juventus ten-day deadline over signing deal expiring

EMRE CAN is still set to quit Liverpool despite Juventus’ ten-day deadline for him signing expiring, according to reports.

Tuttosport claimed the Old Lady, who have been linked to the Germany midfielder for a long time, gave Can an ultimatum for joining but that has now passed.

Reports in Italy said Can, 24, who has been out of action since withdrawing from the Germany squad with a bad back during the recent internationals, had already been offered a £4.3million-a-year deal.

That was to last four years.

But now it is believed Can has put all contract talk on hold while he possibly looks to tie down his future at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side remain an extremely attractive option, especially with their spot in the Champions League semi-finals.

But Juve CEO Beppe Marotta remains hopeful Can will pick them – with Bayern Munich also interested.

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey, PSG star Adrien Rabiot and Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini are also on the Serie A side’s radar.

But Can remains first choice, with his Liverpool deal expiring at the end of the season.

Liverpool are next in action when they travel to bottom-placed West Brom on Saturday.
