LEWIS HAMILTON ogled Monza’s podium girls… before being booed by fans after cruising to victory at the Italian Grand Prix.

The 2015 world champion was virtually unchallenged from pole position and finished five seconds ahead of Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas with Sebastian Vettel taking third.

And Hamilton, 32, certainly appeared to enjoy his convincing victory by showing off the audience that greeted him either side of the red carpet.

He took to Instagram and filmed his way to the podium as women smiled and waved to the camera.

Hamilton would also write the caption, “I said God damn” as he admired the line of women dressed in green dresses.

But the three-time world champ also faced a barrage of boos and heckles from the Italian crowd after Mercedes dominated the podium.

The fans at Monza are huge supporters of Italian luxury vehicle manufacturers Ferrari and a sea of red swarmed the track after the race.

It didn’t deter Hamilton who revealed how he loves the passion of the Ferrari fans.

Speaking after the race he said: "You know what? I love it here in Italy and I love the passion of the Ferrari fans.

"We don't get to see this energy anywhere else, apart from maybe Silverstone."

"To get 1-2 here is incredible," Hamilton added later. "I know it's not easy for Ferrari fans to accept."

Hamilton moved onto 238 points for the Drivers' Championship - three ahead of fierce rival Vettel.

The German has won just one of his last seven races now as Daniel Ricciardo finished fourth, having climbed through the field from a 16th-place start due to a grid penalty.
