LEICESTER want the man who brought Fernando Torres to Liverpool to become their next director of football.
Eduardo Macia has reportedly been recommended by Claudio Ranieri to Foxes chiefs as the perfect candidate to replace Steve Walsh, who was poached by Everton over the summer.

Macia was Liverpool’s chief scout for many years and helped Rafa Benitez to land a number of top players including Torres, Javier Mascherano and Raheem Sterling.
Macia has also enjoyed spells at Valencia, Olympiakos and Fiorentina, and was most recently at Real Betis where he secured the signing of Dutch star Rafael van der Vaart.
Ranieri worked with Macia during his time at Valencia and feels he is the right man to take over from highly-rated Walsh.
The now-Everton director of football identified a number of top players who were key to Leicester’s stunning title win last season.

Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante were just two of the stars landed by Walsh, and Macia has a lot to live up to should he take over at the King Power Stadium.
Kante eventually secured a £30million switch to Chelsea, while Mahrez has been tipped to join Barcelona by Nou Camp legend Xavi.
The Spanish icon said: “Mahrez is good enough to play for Barcelona. He clearly must have had options.”
