Leicester take Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton target Sam Van Huffel on two-week trial

SAM VAN HUFFEL is on a two-week trial at Leicester City.

But the Foxes face fierce competition from Chelsea, Everton and Manchester United for the highly-rated 19-year-old Dutchman.

Teen star van Huffel impressed in his first week with the 2016 Premier League champions, training with the first team under the watchful eye of Claude Puel.

The highly-rated playmaker is widely regarded as one of the biggest talents in the Netherlands.

And van Huffel, who is out of contract this summer and could be snapped up for as little as £50,000, was also praised by senior Leicester aces.

Huffel is currently a part of the U-21s side and has made 11 appearances for them this season, assisting three goals in the process.

The bargain fee for van Huffel has also attracted many of the Premier League’s big guns who have been tracking the ADO Den Haag attacking midfielder.

SunSport revealed earlier this month that Leicester, United, Aston Villa and Hibernian all sent scouts to watch van Huffel in action against RKC Waalwijk.

The Dutchman seized his chance to impress as he provided an assist during the 3-2 win over RKC Waalwijk as the scouts watched on.

The Amsterdam-born playmaker has been offered a pro deal to remain in Holland but is understood to want to test himself in the UK.
