After winning the Premier League for the first time in their history last season, Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes will make their debut in the European Cup.

Drawn alongside Porto, Brugge and FC Copenhagen, Leicester will believe they have a chance to reach the knockout stages.

Season ticket holder Rik Lewin, who was at the front of the queue, told the Leicester Mercury: “There was no way I was going to miss this game.

"It is just brilliant that the club's success means I can go and watch them play in the Champions League.

"It is stuff of dreams and we are still dreaming.

"It is going to be tough but I think we will get out of the group.

"After that who knows?"

Around 50 fans queued for the tickets.

Rik added: "I am a seasoned queue person so I brought a foldaway chair and some drink.

"We were all having the football banter then larger-than-life Foxes fan lee Jobber turned up.

"He pulled out a bottle of Captain Morgan's Rum and we had a tot.

"It was a great laugh. I can't wait for us to cheer Claudio Ranieri and the lads on in Belgium next week."
