Leicester City reportedly on the verge of £15.5million swoop for Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel
LEICESTER CITY are closing in on the signing of Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel in a deal worth more than £15million, according to reports.
The Frenchman has emerged as a top target for the Foxes after a fine campaign in Serie A last season.

Defrel notched 16 goals and produced five assists in the Italian top-flight.
And now several news outlets in Italy claim that Craig Shakespeare is on the verge of luring him to the Premier League for £15.5m.
The 26-year-old, formerly of Cesena, is equally capable of playing as a No10 or right winger in addition to the centre-forward role.
It is claimed Leicester came close to securing his services back in the January transfer window.
Talks between the club and the player’s representatives reached an advanced level before the deal collapsed at the last minute.
Foxes boss Shakespeare is determined to bring in another striker this summer.

The Defrel reports claim that the move could be finalised as early as next week.
However, it is extremely doubtful that Shakespeare will bring in both men.
So unless his hopes of landing Iheanacho have suffered a setback, it looks unlikely that the move for Defrel will be completed in the coming days.
