Denmark international Schmeichel was forced to come off during the second half of Saturday’s 2-1 win over Swansea.

He signalled to the bench that he could no longer continue after racing out to make a clearance.

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri then revealed after that his shotstopper had been nursing a hernia problem for a few weeks.

Ranieri said: “Kasper played the last month with a little hernia.

“It will take four or five days but then he will be ready for the next match.”
