Six different players got on the score sheet for the home side as Keita Balde Diao carried on his recent hot streak in front of goal, banging in his sixth in his last three games with an early opener in just the second minute with a rifling shit into the top corner.
Ciro Immobile then doubled their lead when he scored from the spot after Milan Skriniar was sent off, before Karol Linetty pulled one back for the away side in the 32nd minute.
However any chances of a comeback were dashed as Lazio struck three times in the closing stages of the first half, with Wesley Hoedt, Felipe Anderson and Stefan de Vrij all netting in quick succession.
