KELL BROOK has waved goodbye to ‘Mr Grouchy’ as he prepares to face Gennady Golovkin.
Brook, 30, openly admits the struggle to make the 147lb welterweight limit made him like a bear with a sore head in the build-up to previous fights.

But jumping two divisions to challenge middleweight monster Golovkin for the IBF, WBC and WBA titles on September 10 has fixed a smile on his face — much to the delight of his partner Lindsey.
Sheffield’s Special One said: “It’s fantastic. I’m a nicer guy. If my missus were here, she’d tell you how nice it’s been at home. I’m not grouchy because I don’t have to restrict myself in what I can eat.
“I’m able to eat and she’s super happy with me. There’s no more Mr Grouchy, I’m happy because I can eat.
“She said I’ve been fantastic. I’ve got loads of energy and I’m playing with the kids. I don’t get ratty like I am when I’m restricting my food.”

Manchester United stars Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney will be ringside when the unbeaten duo collide at London’s O2 Arena.
Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn revealed: “Wayne Rooney phoned me on Saturday night. He said ‘Zlatan is a big Golovkin fan, can he come to the fight?’ and I said ‘Absolutely — of course’.
“They’ve got the Manchester derby early that day then they’ll be heading down to the fight. Ibrahimovic is a big GGG fan but maybe Kell can win him over.”
Brook’s last outing in March saw him stop Canada’s Kevin Bizier in two rounds to defend his IBF welterweight crown.
But regardless of how he fares against Golovkin, 34, the Brit’s time in that division appears to be over.
He added: "You’re on and off scales all day, worried about making the weight. It plays on your mind if you're goingto make it and I am big at welterweight.
“Now I'm sleeping like a baby, ready to perform the next day. I can train hard and that's making me sleep because I'm taking the fuel on.”
