MANCHESTER CITY striker Kelechi Iheanacho is nearing a £25million switch to Leicester.

West Ham have pulled out of the hunt for the 20-year-old Nigerian star, according to ESPN.

Craig Shakespeare is particularly keen to strengthen the Leicester frontline

And that leaves the Foxes favourites to sign Iheanacho after he started just one game in 2017 under Etihad chief Pep Guardiola.

Iheanacho’s chances at City decreased further following the January arrival of Brazil frontman Gabriel Jesus, who is now fully fit after a foot injury.

Meanwhile, Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare is continuing to reshape a squad who won the Premier League two seasons ago.

Shakespeare transformed the Foxes from a relegation fight early last term to a mid-table team by May.

And a partner for England hitman Jamie Vardy is thought to be a priority.

So far this summer Shakespeare has brought in Spanish defensive midfielder Vicente Ibborra from Sevilla and Hull’s England Under-21 defender Harry Maguire.
