Karim Benzema watches France v Romania from his living room after Deschamps snub

AXED Karim Benzema was keen to show that he’s not bitter over his Euro 2016 snub.

The Madrid forward, 28, was suspended by the French Football Federation after becoming embroiled in an alleged sex tape scandal involving Mathieu Valbuena.

But he took to Instagram to show that he was still supporting the squad from afar.

It comes after the forward accused boss Didier Deschamps of bowing to pressure from a ‘racist’ portion of French society.

Benzema told Marca: “He has bowed to the pressure of a racist part of France.

“He has to know that in France the extremist party reached the second round in the last two elections.

“I do not know, therefore, whether it is a decision only for Didier because I’ve gotten along with him, with the president Noel Le Graet, or everyone.”
