JUVENTUS have sold midfielder Hernanes to the Chinese Super League – but the big surprise may be that it was only for £8.5million.
In the past few months teams from the Far East have thrown money at clubs all around Europe in transfer fees and wages.

So the money paid by Hebei China Fortune for an established Brazilian midfielder is relatively paltry in comparison.

For example, Carlos Tevez went for £73million, Oscar left Chelsea for £51million, and Hulk cost £47.5million.
Hernanes was part of the 2014 Brazil World Cup squad, and has 27 caps for his country since making his debut back in 2008.
In Italy he has played for Lazio and Inter Milan, and before that represented Sao Paulo in his homeland.
He will join the likes of Gervinho, Ezequiel Lavezzi and ex-QPR man Stephane Mbia for the Chinese Super League.

The Sun had previously revealed that Lavezzi earns around £240,000 per week with the Chinese outfit.
That makes him the sixth-highest paid player on the planet, and he cost the club £23.5million.
But he is some way behind China, and the world's highest paid player Carlos Tevez.
Shanghai Shenhua broke the world record when they signed former Manchester United star on a contract worth £615,000-a-week.
They also paid an astonishing £73million for the Argentine striker from Boca Juniors.
