Jose Aldo gunning for Conor McGregor rematch after branding Dubliner a ‘p***y’
JOSE Aldo says he has unfinished business with Conor McGregor, claiming his 13-second loss to the Dubliner was an “accident” and branding him a “p***y” for not defending his UFC featherweight title.
Aldo was reinstated as the UFC’s undisputed 145lb champion at the weekend after McGregor was relieved of his featherweight title, prompting much debate among the sport about the rights and wrongs of the situation.

But the Brazilian is clear on his view, saying he knew McGregor would have to drop the belt simply because of his unwillingness to defend it.
“I knew that would happen,” Aldo told the UFC in Brazil.
“To me, I never stopped being champion. I lost that fight because of an accident.

“I knew that I would win a rematch, that I would be champion again.
“It’s not my fault that he’s such a p***y. He was never the champion.
“I don’t see myself losing to anyone in this division or any other.”
Jose Aldo has been reinstated as the undisputed UFC featherweight title
Aldo’s likely next bout will see him face the winner of the interim title bout between Max Holloway and Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis, which takes place at UFC 206 in Toronto on December 10.
But ‘Scarface’ has plans beyond that first title defence.

Aldo’s only loss in the last 11 years came at the hands of McGregor, who starched the Brazilian in just 13 seconds in their featherweight title fight at the MGM Grand at UFC 194 last December.
And the Brazilian star says he wants to get his title defence out of the way as early as possible in the New Year so he can then set his sights on a revenge rematch with McGregor at lightweight.
Jose Aldo edged a five-round classic with Frankie Edgar at UFC 200
"First, I want to defend my title, and then go after a fight with him,” he explained.
"Just like Dana (White) said, we can choose who we want to fight, so I want to fight him. That’s what will happen.”
