JON ‘BONES’ JONES has broken his silence and pleaded his innocence against the doping charge that could have ended his UFC career.
Jones has been stripped of the light-heavyweight title after a test on the B sample given before his clash with Daniel Cormier confirmed the positive finding of the A sample.

It is the third time the controversial star has been stripped of his title, the second after a failed doping test, and Jones will find it hard to come back from this latest scandal.
But the 30-year-old, regarded as one of the greatest UFC stars of all time, insists on this occasion he has done nothing wrong.
Responding to a tweet calling on him to tell everybody the truth, Jones hit back.
He said: “Dude the truth is I would never do steroids, I put that on my children and I put that on my Heavenly Father.
Jones appears ready to fight his case after USADA reported last month he had tested positive
for anabolic steroid Turinabol following a urine test he gave the day before fighting Cormier on July 29.

The B sample was then sent away for analysis, and that has confirmed the initial findings.
A USADA spokesperson said: "Mr. Jones 'B' sample has confirmed the 'A' sample findings.
"Importantly, as previously stated, due process should occur before drawing any conclusions about this matter."
Jones had beaten Cormier to reclaim his UFC light heavyweight title by knocking out his rival at UFC 214.

Cormier has now been reinstated as the UFC light heavyweight champion whilst Jones has now been removed from the UFC official rankings on their website.
Cormier said: "I think it’s crazy. It’s one of the craziest things and USADA is being very straight line, saying ‘due process,’ but the reality is, you can’t fail a drug test.
"You can pass 100 tests, but you can’t fail one.

"They’re saying we have to wait for the due process, but what are we waiting for? They tested the A sample, they tested the B sample.
"If there’s anything, you cannot test positive for performance enhancing drugs. You just can’t do it. It’s unfair. I’m very upset about it.
"You said that he’s going to fight this and he has to. This is a death sentence. If this does what it says it can be, it’s a death sentence.

"This is a very expensive drug. Something that’s not easily found in a supplement.
"I’ve been in the USADA program for 12 years, I’ve never had these issues.
"If it was a mistake, you’ve got to be more careful, especially with all the scrutiny that was on him coming back from a suspension.

"You’ve got to be cautious and careful to expect people to understand. Any more is just ridiculous.
"You don’t cheat the sport. You don’t cheat the fans. You don’t cheat me. You have all the physical advantages, sir. You’re 30 years old. You’re 6’4."
"We had one of the biggest fights of the year and once again, this guy has made a mockery of the sport."
