Jesse Lingard reveals his boyhood crush to Chris Smalling in Mr and Mrs game… and she’s a Coronation Street favourite
JESSE LINGARD has reluctantly revealed his boyhood crush to team-mate Chris Smalling.
In a Mr and Mrs style game set up by England sponsor Vauxhall Motors, each player’s mum revealed some of their embarrassing childhood secrets and the player had to guess what they had said.
And when Lingard was asked which soap opera character he used to fancy, he tried claim Dawn from Hollyoaks was the object of his desires.
But thanks to the winger's mother, Smalling was able to reveal that the answer was actually Fiz from Coronation Street.
Lingard was given the option of Dawn, Fiz and Tiffany from Eastenders and because he tried to cover up his childhood crush, he lost the game 2-1.

Meanwhile Smalling revealed that he had made a prank call to the police and used to separate his food.
And as well as fancying Fiz, Lingard said he used to suck on a dummy on the way to school and cover it up with his seat belt.
The pair are both away on England duty and face Germany and Lithuania this week.
Lingard was having an excellent week, before being embarrassed by Smalling, as he celebrated scoring a thunderbolt at Middlesbrough by playing an imaginary flute.
