FORMER Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has reportedly called off his wedding to Spanish journalist Lucia Villalon.
It’s believed the pair have parted ways after their long-distance relationship became too strenuous to continue.
Hernandez met Villalon when he joined Real Madrid in 2014 and they’ve been posting loved-up photos to social media ever since.
But recent uploads suggest they’ve broken up altogether after calling a halt to wedding plans.
Hernandez and Villalon got engaged last summer but it now seems his career at German side Bayer Leverkusen has become too much to handle.
The Mexico international posted a cryptic message saying: "'It's impossible,' said pride. 'It's risky', said experience. 'It's pointless,' said reason. 'Give it a try,' whispered the heart."
Hernandez even wrote: "Let's keep trying" alongside the poem but it appears Villalon chose not to reply.

She instead posted a snap of herself walking alone on the beach with the caption: "Getting stronger little by little."
Whether the split has any bearing on Hernandez's next move remains to be seen, with the Manchester United favourite recently linked with a move to Chelsea.
