Ayr Gold Cup one-two Brando and Growl will clash again, with Richard Fahey extremely happy with Growl ahead of his first run of the season.
The Tin Man progressed into a top sprinter last yearPA
Fahey told www.sportinglife.com: “Growl was placed in a Group One last season and he had a fantastic season and it was a bit frustrating he didn’t win the Ayr Gold Cup.
“It just shows the quality of the handicaps now, he finished second and ran a good race. The winner ended up a Group horse and we were placed in a Group 1.

“But this year he’s been training really well, I don’t know if his confidence is high – last year he took a while to really come to himself and show his best form.
“This year he has set off right where he left off last year, so we’re extremely happy with him and his work is very good.”
