JAMES ANDERSON looks certain to miss the two-Test series in Bangladesh next month.
England’s all-time leading wicket-taker is still struggling with the shoulder problem that dogged him for much of the summer.

Selectors are deciding whether Anderson should fly to Bangladesh with the rest of the squad on October 10 to continue his rehab — or stay at home until the start of the India tour in early November.
They are likely to make a decision before the end of this week.
Anderson has not played or even bowled a ball in practice since the Fourth Test against Pakistan finished on August 14.
He first felt discomfort back in June and the problem was diagnosed as a stress fracture.

Anderson’s setback is the latest problem for England as they prepare for their controversial tour of Bangladesh.
One-day captain Eoin Morgan and batsman Alex Hales have already withdrawn from the white- ball section of the tour because of security fears.

Lancashire swinger Anderson, 34, has taken 463 wickets in 119 Tests and remains the leader of England’s attack.
He has been following a rigorous gym and fitness programme — but it is a concern that he has not been able to bowl for more than six weeks.
Skipper Alastair Cook will miss the two warm-up matches before the Tests to attend the birth of his second child.

Cook has signed a contract extension to stay at newly-promoted Essex until the end of 2018.
A one-county man throughout his 13-year career, Cook, 31, said: “It was an easy decision to sign for another year.
“Although I am away with England a lot, I love coming back when I can.”
