JACK WILSHERE has been ruled out of England’s friendly with Italy next week, the FA have confirmed.
The midfielder missed the Holland win in Amsterdam due to a knee injury and Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate had hope he would be fit for the game at Wembley.

The FA gave the injury update on Social Media and added Joe Gomez who limped off against the Dutch after ten minutes will remain with the squad for further treatment.
The FA said on Twitter: “Jack Wilshere won’t feature against Italy and has now withdrawn from the group.
“Joe Gomez remains with the squad for further assessment after his substitution in last night’s game.”
The 26-year-old’s place in Southgate’s World Cup squad is in serious doubt after his latest injury setback.
Wilshere who is out of contract at Arsenal in the summer has not played for his country since Euro 2016
