JACK WILSHERE has dismissed Jamie Redknapp’s claim that his Arsenal career is over.
The on-loan Bournemouth midfielder completed his first 90 minutes in the Premier League for two years in the Cherries 0-0 draw 0-0 against Tottenham on Saturday.
But before the lunch-time kick-off ex-Spurs man Redknapp aired his view that Wilshere, 24, is no longer good enough to get in the Gunners starting line-up.
Wilshere's progress from rising star of the Gunners Academy has been halted by two injury-ravaged seasons that saw him feature in just ten Premier League matches.

You have to go back to September 2014 and Arsenal's 2-2 draw at home to Manchester City for the last time Wilshere started and finished a Premier League match.
And Redknapp reckons that has seen the England star drop down the pecking order at the Emirates and he needs to quit the club he joined at the age of nine.
He said: “I don’t see a future [for Wilshere] at Arsenal any more. I think now he’ll realise he has to get away from Arsenal.
“It’s too comfortable for him there. He is not going to get into the team at Arsenal.”

On being told of Redknapp's comments, Wilshere responded: “I don’t know where he got that from.
“I’m just trying to get back to what I was, enjoying my football and playing week-in, week-out and today was a massive step towards that.
“I’ve not really thought about that so how other people can comment on it...
“If he doesn’t see me going back to Arsenal then that’s up to him. He’s entitled to his opinion but I haven’t thought about that.”
But Wilshere did agree with Redknapp about his move to Bournemouth taking him out of his comfort zone at Arsenal.

He admitted: “Sometimes when you’re at a top club and you’ve been at a top club your whole career and you’re playing week in week out it is easy to get into that comfort zone.
“For me to come down here and taste a different side of the Premier League where you have to fight for everything, fight for every point and work as a team, it is definitely out of my comfort zone.”

Wilshere's last full 90 minutes came on duty for England against Slovenia in June 2015.
Interim Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate was at the Vitality Stadium. But Wilshere, who was overlooked for the recent World Cup qualifiers, revealed he had not spoken with Southgate

Asked if he was thinking about an England return, Wilshere added: “No, not really.
“I have got to concentrate on myself, playing here, playing 90 minutes and getting back to my best and then I can start thinking about that.”
