BRAZIL go in search of their first World Cup in 16 years when they travel to this summer’s tournament in Russia.
Desperate to expel the memory of their 7-1 humiliation at the hands of eventual champions Germany four years ago, the Brazilians will at least enjoy a little five-star luxury this time around.

Brazil have confirmed they will set up their base-camp at the Swissotel Resort Sochi Kamelia in the South-Western corner of Russia.
The five-star hotel can see rooms go for up to £600-a-night, with the 203-room resort boasting no fewer than 20 luxurious suites.
On top of that, there’s a jaw-dropping, flower-shaped pool, with views over the Black Sea on way and the incredible architecture of the hotel itself on the other.
From the pampering of the hotel, Tite’s 23-man squad will make the short trip to the Yug-Sport Stadium for their day-to-day training sessions.

However, while the camp may be just perfect for training and relaxation, Brazil will face some long journeys for their group games.
Brazil’s first game – where they will hope to welcome back their currently-injured captain Neymar – will take place at the Rostov Arena.

The Brazilians take on Switzerland on the back of a 350-mile journey – the equivalent of driving from Bournemouth to Newcastle.
Despite that, it’s easily the shortest of their journeys, as the five-time world champions play their second game against Costa Rica at St Petersburg’s Krestovsky Stadium – over 1,200 miles away.

Brazil are widely expected to top Group E and would go into the last-16 in Russia with a game at the Cosmos Arena in Samara… 1,141 miles away.
Brazil have already taken in a little of the Russian lifestyle, as they beat the World Cup hosts 3-0 in their friendly in Moscow on Friday night.
Tite and Co next take to the field in a rematch of their 7-1 drubbing from four years ago, when they play Germany away on Tuesday night.
