Iker Casillas responds to Twitter troll’s mannequin challenge dig in the best possible way
IKER CASILLAS has bitten back at a social media user who criticised him with a reference to the recent ‘mannequin challenge’ craze.
The Real Madrid goalkeeping legend, now at Porto in Portugal, was called “the boss of the mannequin challenge” by Twitter user @Digeohermo7 – alluding to him watching the ball as it flies into the net.
Nadie sabe que el jefe de el mannequin siempre fue casillas con sus estatuas mirando el balón… @IkerCasillas Saludos crack
The troll said of the World Cup-winning captain: “No-one realises that the boss of the mannequin challenge has always been Casillas, with his statue-esque poses as he watches the ball…”
But 35-year-old Casillas, who regularly replies to tweets directed at him, immediately hit back top the jibe with a video of some of his finest saves during his illustrious career.
