IDRISSA GUEYE has signed a new £75,000-a-week deal with Everton until the summer of 2022.
The Senegal midfielder, 28, has been rewarded with the £17million contract after establishing himself as one of the Toffees’ key men since joining from Aston Villa 18 months ago.

Signed by Ronald Koeman for £7.1million after Villa’s relegation, Gueye has continued to hold down a position in the side since Sam Allardyce became boss.
Gueye, who has scored three goals in 64 appearances for the Toffees, hailed the support from fans as key to his decision.
He said: “Everton is the right place for me and this is why I have signed my new deal.
“I love the fans here. They have been great to me. They made it easy for me to sign this contract.

“Of course, I spoke with my family and my agent, but the love of the fans was really important and this is a really good thing for me.
“I have enjoyed immensely my time so far at the club, I enjoy working with the manager, his staff and the players here and we are really determined to finish the season strongly.
