Hull vs Chelsea team news: Cesc Fabregas? David Meyler? Who is in and who is out for Premier League clash?

JOHN TERRY is unlikely to return to Chelsea’s starting line-up after sitting out the 3-0 defeat against Arsenal.

The Blues skipper suffered a setback in his recovery from the ankle injury which forced him to miss the games with Liverpool and Leicester.

And while Terry promised fans he would be "back soon" last week, it is doubtful the veteran will be available to Conte.

After posting a picture of himself on an exercise bike, 36-year-old JT said: "I can't even put into words how much being injured and missing today's game hurts.

"I had a small setback during the week but I'm hoping to be back soon. Also the bike is horrible."

Former Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas was named in midfield against the Gunners after scoring two extra-time goals against the Foxes in the EFL Cup.

But he was hauled off after 55 minutes as Conte went to his preferred back three with the inclusion of Marcos Alonso.

The Spaniard could line up alongside Gary Cahill and David Luiz on Saturday against the Tigers, who often employed a similar system under Steve Bruce.

DAVID MEYLOR could take advantage of Ahmed Elmohamady's suspension when Hull play Chelsea on Saturday.

The midfielder came on for Adama Diomande after the red card and fired in a 51st-minute strike.

And Mike Phelan may make several unforced changes after seeing his side destroyed at Anfield.

He is yet to be offered a full-time contract with the Tigers after taking over as caretaker.

And after a flying start, recent results have seen momentum slowing to increase the pressure on Phelan.

After the Anfield hammering, he said: "Everything is open to debate.

"I am doing my job like I've always done."We have to look forward to what's ahead but we've had two disappointing results. We have Chelsea to come and then we go into 'our league' and we'll be judged on that.

"The offer has been there but it hasn't been signed, sealed and delivered yet. We had a terrific chat and I'm waiting now. I want it to be sorted out. It'll be done when it's done."
