OUMAR NIASSE nets two goals as Hull City secure a vital 2-1 win against Swansea City at the KCOM Stadium.
The senegalese striker on-loan from Everton slotted the ball past goalkeeper Lukas Fabianski twice to give Marco Silva a huge boost in his bid to beat the drop.

The 26-year-old was only on the pitch moments before scoring both goals for Hull City within 9 minutes of each other.

Alfie Mawson pulled back a last minute goal in injury time but it wasn’t enough for Paul Clements men.

Swansea City suffered two injury blows to Angel Rangel and Fernando Llorente within the first half of the game.
Despite all three points the Tigers still remain in the bottom three and are just one point from safety along with Swansea who remain in 16th.
FACTS, STATS, GOALS AND LOLS
- At some point, Hull may have to decide if it’s a football city or a rugby city. Call me picky, but it looked naff (and potentially confusing) to have rugby league markings and damaged turf on the KCOM Stadium pitch after the previous night’s Super League match.
- An in-form striker is priceless to a side fighting relegation. Fernando Llorente had been that man for Swansea; Hull fans wondered if Abel Hernandez, back in the starting 11, could yet be theirs.
- A good goalkeeper also helps. Eldin Jakupovic made a good early save from Wayne Routledge, but flapped at two corners.
- The small Swansea contingent warmed up with a good chorus of “We know what we are…sheep-shagging b***ards, we know what we are”.
- Maybe Paul Clement’s luck is running out. Angel Rangel replaced the injured Kyle Naughton, but took a knock himself and then top scorer Fernando Llorente followed Rangel off in the first half.

- Kamil Grosicki often seems to be the best of Hull’s January acquisitions, but his free kick early in the second half is a candidate for worst setpiece of the season.
- That was closely followed by Routledge posting his entry for poorest shot of the weekend as he sent the ball well over the bar when it looked easier to hit the target.
- Alfred N’Diaye can count himself lucky to have stayed on the field before he was substituted. A foul on Gylfi Sigurdsson looked worthy of a second yellow card.
- £13.5m doesn’t get you much these days. That’s what Everton paid for Oumar Niasse in February 2016. His three Premier League goals have come since joining Hull on loan.
- The enigma of Lazar Markovic continues. Flashes of near-brilliance, divided by long periods of meh. But the Hull crowd gave him a nice clap off the pitch anyway.
