HUDDERSFIELD TOWN midfielder Jonathan Hogg is in hospital having precautionary scans after suffering a horrific neck injury in the defeat at Bristol City.
Just eight minutes into the game at Ashton Gate, Hogg collided with team-mate Mark Hudson and received lengthy treatment by medical staff on the pitch – the Championship game needed 14 minutes of first-half stoppage time.

After early fears on his condition, Sky Sports later confirmed that Hogg was “conscious and talking” in the dressing room.
The 28-year-old was then taken to a local hospital for precautionary scans and an X-ray – the injury not believed to be as serious as first thought.
The collision with team-mate Mark Hudson at first appeared innocuous.
The midfielder appeared to lose his footing before falling into Hudson’s chest.
However, he immediately hit the floor and team-mates and opponents were waving for help.

Terriers boss David Wagner was seen rushing onto the pitch after the incident to check on his player while both teams kept warm on the touchline.
The German boss also offered a few calming words to the midfielder.
Hogg was eventually replaced by Philip Billing.
Following the injury, previously out-of-form Bristol City ran out comprehensive winners over the promotion-chasing Terriers.
Lee Tomlin opened the scoring with Tammy Abraham adding a second in the lengthy first half stoppage time.
And Aden Flint made the game safe in the second half before David Cotterill converted a penalty.
After the match, Huddersfield boss David Wagner suggested Hogg's horrific injury may have affected his side's performance.
He said: "I'm unsure if the situation with Jonathan Hogg caused us maybe mental some problems.
"[It] Was not easy to see how he went off the grass but everything shouldn’t be an excuse at the end."
