LUCKILY I’ve never been on The Jeremy Kyle Show.
I’ve no idea where they get those people from but it must be from the only town in Britain where the
dentists has been replaced with a DNA lab.
There would be a few nervous people in racing if Kyle – who owns several horses – turned up with a lie detector on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival.

The road to Cheltenham starts HERE.
Bet £10 or more at any of the races at these meetings and Sun Bets will give you a £2 free bet to use at the Cheltenham Festival.
It kicks off at Cheltenham itself with The November Meeting this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Today I reckon we’ll be the ones doing the shouting as Kylemore Lough (2.25) looks to have an outstanding chance in Cheltenham’s big race.
He was a Grade 1 winner in Ireland a couple of years ago when trained by Kerry Lee and he ran some solid races last term.

The owners decided to switch him to Harry Fry’s in-form yard in the spring and he’s had this as his target ever since. His record when fresh is good and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him winning Graded races again later in the season.
Thomas Campbell (3.00) isn’t at that level yet but he looks a banker bet in the staying hurdle.
He won well at the last Cheltenham meeting and his rise in the weights has been mostly offset by excellent young jockey James Bowen’s 7lbs claim.
Templegate's TV tips
1.50 Cheltenham – Premier Bond: ‘Today’s 3m4f trip should be ideal and ground conditions are also in his favour’ (add to your betslip)
2.25 Cheltenham – Kylemore Lough: ‘Every chance he will bounce back to his best after switching to in-form Harry Fry’ (add to your betslip)
2.45 Lingfield – Victory Bond: ‘Always thought he was up to this level and won on his all-weather debut last time out’ (add to your betslip)
3.00 Cheltenham – Thomas Campbell: ‘The ground will be ideal and today’s slightly longer trip won’t be a problem’ (add to your betslip)
3.15 Lingfield – Gifted Master: ‘Good form in the book and won’t have a problem with today’s surface’ (add to your betslip)
3.35 Cheltenham – Coup De Pinceau: ‘Looks well treated and a stronger pace and stiff finish should be right up his street’ (add to your betslip)
I’m expecting his trainer Nicky Henderson to have a decent day. He runs Premier Bond (1.50) in the long-distance chase and I’m keen on his chance.
He won twice over fences last season and ran a cracker when third in the Kim Muir Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
The Scottish National was all a bit much for him but today’s smaller field should be ideal.

The three-runner novice chase looks a good opportunity for Ballyoptic (1.15) to make all the running but that’s hardly an attractive betting race.
The Intermediate Hurdle is much more interesting and the one I like most is Coup De Pinceau (3.30).
Templegate's tenner
- £5 win Thomas Campbell
- £3 win Kylemore Lough
- £1 each-way double Premier Bond and Coup De Pinceau
He won both his bumper starts and his hurdles-debut second to Lough Derg Spirit makes him well weighted.
There has to be a decent chance he’ll improve for his first run for year when runner-up at Wincanton and the likely stronger pace will be in his favour.
I fancy him to settle the argument in the closing stages – rather like Kyle in his pomp.
