GOOSEN MAVERICK has been called plenty of names in his relatively short career but got it all together to canter home at Warwick last time. He’s up 10lb for that win but still looks a step ahead of these rivals.

ROKSANA looks a nice prospect and built on an excellent hurdling debut when winning at Plumpton last time out. She jumped well and travelled like a more than useful horse. A similar display would get the job done again.

RAMSES DE TEILLEE was a solid hurdler but chasing was always going to be his game as he showed when winning easily at Chepstow last time out. He jumped well and should have no problem defying a 15lb rise in the weights.

JEBS GAMBLE went close off this mark at Plumpton last time and looks capable of winning. He was second here two starts ago, back in May, and the track suits. This trip suits and the ground won’t be an issue either.

STOICAL PATIENT has had little problem in winning three on the bounce since going back over fences for this yard. Two of them came around here, including over a similar trip last time out. It’s interesting to see blinkers on for the first time and they could coax even more improvement.

LLANTARA ran a cracker on her comeback at Chepstow last time and a repeat would see him go very close. She’s bred to relish this step up in distance and looks well handicapped.
