TRAINER Henry Candy is looking to send Limato on a trip to France for next month’s Prix Maurice de Gheest.
Limato was last seen finishing second behind Harry Angel when bidding for back-to-back victories in the July Cup at Newmarket.

Although he holds an entry in the Qatar Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood, connections look set to skip that and head to France.
Candy said: “The horse is in great form and I am very pleased with everything he did. I think Harry Angel has got a bit more speed than Limato now.
Limato is likely to head to France for his next startPA
“He has run in so many Group 1 races and has finished in the first three in most of them, which is quite a rarity for a horse.
“The Maurice de Gheest is probably the most likely option now.”

Candy warned that Vibrant Chords, who like Limato is owned by Paul Jacobs, is likely to swerve an outing in the Qatar Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood, for which he is a general 33-1 shot.
He added: “Vibrant Chords will be aimed at a five-furlong handicap on the first day of Goodwood.
“It might be that is a slightly easier race than the Stewards’ Cup, although nothing will be easy at Goodwood.”
