Granada 0 Celta Vigo 3: Disaster debut for Tony Adams as first game in charge ends in dismal defeat
IF Tony Adams wasn’t aware of the task ahead before he took over, then he certainly is now.
The Arsenal legend could only watch on from the sidelines as his relegation-threatened new Granada team capitulated against Celta Vigo’s second string side.

And he would have been tearing his hair out at Granada’s defending as they fell a goal behind on 22 minutes.
A long ball over the top caused confusion amongst the defence and despite having three or four chances to clear, the ball fell to Jozabed Sanchez who lifted the ball over the keeper to give Celta Vigo the lead.

Granada have won just four matches all season and despite the visitors enjoying the majority of the possession, they did carve out half opportunities.
On-loan Manchester United forward Andreas Pereira saw his cross flash past the post whilst left-back Gaston Silva ballooned over when he should have done better.

Just as the home side were building momentum, a stunning free-kick from Marcelo Diaz doubled the visitor's advantage.
And the game was put to bed minutes later when Beavuvue thrashed the ball home to pile misery on Adams' first game in charge.
Adams' remained positive following the full-time whistle and even joked he may need to dust off his boots.
He said: "We're going to try next game, we've got Sevilla on Friday and we will try to win that one.
"We're trying our best, we have limitations which we are all aware of.
"We're running out of forwards, you know, I'm going to have to get my boots on.
"I thought for the majority of the game we were right in there."
