NAPOLI president Aurelio De Laurentiis has dropped the biggest hint yet that Arsenal are preparing to make a bid for Gonzalo Higuain.
The Gunners are in the market for a new striker, and boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly made the Argentine his top transfer target.

Higuain is believed to have a release clause worth a staggering £79million, and Napoli are refusing to sell for anything less.
The 28-year-old scored an incredible 36 goals in 35 league appearances, and unsurprisingly has a host of top names chasing his signature.
Higuain has already rejected a mind-blowing £800,000-a-week offer to ply his trade in the Chinese Super League, although Serie A champions Juventus have succeeded in agreeing personal terms.
However, Napoli’s fierce rivals do not have the cash to meet Higuain’s buyout clause, leaving Arsenal as the only team with enough dough for his signature.

Despite reported interest from Chelsea, Arsenal are allegedly ready to press ahead with a £42m cash bid plus current No.1 striker Olivier Giroud – although the Frenchman is not happy at the prospect of being used in a swap deal.
And De Laurentiis appears to have confirmed that the Gunners will make a proposal for Higuain after revealing he’s already snubbed a huge offer from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
The Napoli president said: “Atletico offered one month ago €60m and two players for Higuain. I refused. Now let’s see with Arsenal.”

However, it seems that Wenger has his finger in more than one pie after holding talks with Inter Milan ace Mauro Icardi.
The skipper’s agent – who is also his wife – has hinted at interest from the Gunners, and looks to have given the game away following reports of a meeting with Arsenal chiefs on Wednesday morning.
Tweeting to her followers ‘Happy day my friends’, it can be clearly seen Wanda Icardi’s location is currently set to ‘London, England’, which is sure to send loyal Gooners into meltdown.
