GIANLUIGI BUFFON has urged his team to “write a fairytale” and win the Champions League tomorrow night.
The legendary Juventus goalkeeper will captain his side as they face Cristiano Ronaldo et al in what could be his last campaign in the elite European competition.

Speaking at a press conference today, the 39-year-old was in confident mood for their day of destiny. He said: “We can feel the enthusiasm of the fans for this Champions League final.
“That means a lot to us and definitely helps.
“Winning the final would bring me immense joy. There’s nothing better than when hard work pays off with a trophy.
“Everyone loves fairy tales and for us to win the final would be the perfect story.”

The Juventus squad arrived in Cardiff earlier today as they aim to add the Champions League title to their Serie A Success.
And Buffon is hoping this run of good luck has not run out for the season just yet.
He added: “It’s true that Real Madrid normally win in the Champions League final, but it’s time to reshape our own fortune tomorrow.
“Playing this final will be a very special feeling for me. My aim is to not have any regrets afterwards.
“By playing well, I can help out my team-mates. That’s the biggest contribution I can make.”

There have been huge calls for the Italian number one to be awarded the prestigious Ballon d'Or this year after another terrific season of a monumental career.
But Buffon is in no doubt what the priority right now is.
He added: "The Ballon d'Or would be a gratifying prize to claim, but it's a big second to winning the Champions League."
