GENNADY GOLOVKIN insists he is putting pride before cash to risk his perfect record against Canelo Alvarez.
The unbeaten middleweight champion insists that Saturday’s Las Vegas clash will put Floyd Mayweather’s billion dollar victory over Conor McGregor firmly in the shade.

Kazakh Golovkin was unimpressed by last month’s cross-over fight which did little for the reputation of the sport he loves.
And the big-hitting KO king promises: “This fight with Canelo is important for boxing. It’s a true fight.
“We’ve had the money show, now we have the history fight, the night when we find out who is the biggest champion, maybe the best pound-for fighter.”
Triple G brought all four of his world belts to the Grand Arrivals ceremony at the MGM Grand Hotel, where he was drowned out by hundreds of Mexican fans chanting for their hero Alvaraz.
Golovkin is putting all his titles on the line against two-eight world champ Canelo and insists: “I’m old school and I like it when there is just one champion.
“I understand that it is good for business when you have four different champions at the same weight, but for me, it’s important to know who is number one, the best.
