GARETH BALE’S wonder goal fired him ahead of two Real Madrid legends for the number of Champions League goals scored.
The Welshman bagged his 16th in Europe’s most prestigious tournament as Real Madrid secured their first ever win at Borussia Dortmund.

It means he now overtakes current Real Madrid gaffer Zinedine Zidane, who got 15, and legendary Brazil striker Ronaldo.
And it was something worth celebrating – a goal right out of the top draw by the rapid winger.
Bale said of his wondergoal: “It was great to get off to a good start, seeing the ball come over and trying to make good contact.
“Thankfully it went in and gave us a great start to the game.”
Dani Carvajal spotted Bale peeling away from his defender in the box and floated a ball towards the 28-year-old.
On the volley, Bale side-footed the ball into the top corner leaving the keeper with absolutely no chance.

It was a stark reminder to Real Madrid fans what Bale can produce after the criticism he has received for his performances.
Cristiano Ronaldo would add to the scoreline in the 50th minute before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang handed the home side hope.
Ronaldo then made sure the headlines were all about him when he settled the tie in the 79th minute in his 400th career match.
But it will be Bale brimming with confidence with his latest strike.
Earlier this month Zidane claimed that the forward is "another four months" away from being back to his best.
Bale endured a string of injuries before the start of the season which sidelined him for four months.
