CHELSEA want Frank Lampard to become a club ambassador following his retirement from football.
The Blues legend called time on his playing career earlier this month despite being inundated with offers from the Premier League.

And Lampard, who played for Manchester City and New York City after leaving Chelsea in 2014, is keen to return to Stamford Bridge following 13 successful seasons in West London.
The Times claims Blues chiefs have already offered the ex-England international a “senior ambassadorial role” which would allow him the chance to earn his coaching badges.
But Lampard is yet to make a decision as he is also wanted by the FA, who envisage him working with youngsters at St George’s Park.

However, after seeing Three Lions midfield partner Steven Gerrard return to Liverpool, Lampard may feel the time is right to link up with Antonio Conte and get involved in what’s turning out to be an exciting season for Chelsea.
A number of former Blues are already working under the Italian, including Carlo Cudicini, Paulo Ferreira and Henrique Hilario.
