It was thought he was offered a role as a club executive, or maybe even a Fifa ambassador – but Calciomercato report there is a surprising new offer on the table.
They allege he has been offered by Italy old international pal Alessandro Nesta, manager of NASL side Miami FC, to join him stateside.

It is understood contact has been made with one-club man Totti, who is reportedly interested in the proposal unlike anything in his career to date.
Nesta was born in Rome like Totti, and while they used to play each other all the time, they won the 2006 World Cup together and are friends.

Many Roma and football fans in general, are disappointed Totti was not allowed to announced his own retirement from a club he has given so much to — and on his own terms.
Since 1993, he has donned only the red and yellow of the club of his heart, despite having only one Serie A title and two Coppa Italia trophies to show for it.
Real Madrid on numerous occasions have tried to lure the Roman king away from the Italian capital, but he has remained loyal.

However, he extended his deal to take him past his 40th birthday - but should he decide not to retire in the summer, the USA looks his most likely destination.
