France vs Rep of Ireland: Live stream, TV channel and kick-off time for World Cup friendly

IRELAND travel to the Stade De France on to give France some practise before they leave for the World Cup.

Martin O’Neill’s men have just drawn with Celtic, having otherwise been out of action since they lost to Turkey 1-0 in another friendly in March.

Before that they lost 5-1 on aggregate to Denmark in their World Cup play-off and failed to make it to Russia, but before that were victorious against Wales.

O’Neill is looking to get a few wins under his belt in upcoming friendly games – they play the US – before the UEFA Nations League begins in September.

France are hot favourites to win the game and that’s understandable as they are at home.

So it will be a massive test for the Boys in Green.

Looking ahead France are considered among the favourites to win the World Cup but must first negotiate a group that pits them against Australia, Peru and Denmark.

Team news

Shamrock Rovers’ Graham Burke and Bohemians’ Shane Supple have been included in the Republic of Ireland squad to face France and the US.

O’Neill has retained Burke in his squad following his half-hour cameo in the non-cap friendly draw with Celtic.

Keeper Supple actually quit professional football for Gaelic football in August 2009 having “fallen out of love with the game”.

Now 31, he returned to the game at amateur level with Crumlin United in 2015 before signing for Bohs the following year.

Didier Deschamps is expected to pick Olivier Giroud, Kylian Mbappe, Benjamin Mendy, Steven N’zonzi, N’Golo Kante and Antoine Griezmann for the sold-out game.
