Football tips: Premier League betting preview by Danny Higginbotham for Manchester United vs Man City, Liverpool vs Everton and Arsenal

DANNY HIGGINBOTHAM last week cleaned up with two winners at 9/1 and 10/1 in Chelsea’s victory over Newcastle.

So when he speaks, we listen. This week, Higgo is picking a 10/1 first scorer in Arsenal’s trip to Southampton… and is betting with his heart AND his head in the Manchester derby.

Southampton vs Arsenal

  • Aaron Ramsey to score anytime, 10/1
  • Arsenal to win 3-1, 12/1

ARSENAL will be disappointed after that defeat against Man United.

But they know they need to kick on – starting at St Mary’s on Sunday.

Southampton are likely to sit deep and with Alexandre Lacazette, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil pinning them back there will be plenty of space in the middle, as my graphic shows.

And when that happens, the midfield runners, like Aaron Ramsey, will have opportunities to score.

He is 9/1 with Sun Bets to get the first and I like the Gunners to win 3-1.

Alan Pardew has arrived at WEST BROM with one thing on his mind.
Attack, attack, attack.

Manchester United vs Man City

  • Marcus Rashford to score any time, 9/4
  • Match result 1-1, 9/2

I’M A Man United fan born and bred.

Which is why it is tough for me to admit this… but City are the best team in Europe right now, bar none.

But they are not unbeatable. Not for United, anyway.

Kyle Walker is the up there with the best full-backs in the world but he plays with such adventure and ambition that City can be left exposed on his side.

Whoever plays on the left for United – either Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial – will have time and space to influence the game.

City will score – it’s been a long old time since they didn’t – but they can be vulnerable at the back.

So I’m going for a 1-1 draw with a goal for either Rashford or Martial, depending on who Jose Mourinho picks.
And that’s not just me being a hopeful United fan… otherwise I would have gone for a big home win!

Liverpool vs Everton

  • Liverpool to win 3-1, 8/1

Just look at who scored for LIVERPOOL against Spartak Moscow: Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane.

Few teams in the world have an attacking unit to match that.

Since Sam Allardyce has arrived, EVERTON have looked far better organised but stopping those four will take some doing.

They are at their best on the counter, which won’t be an option at Anfield as I expect Everton to sit back.

But Salah, Firminho, Coutinho and Mane are just irresistible right now. For me, this is a win for Liverpool.
