ARSENAL may have brought in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for a club-record deal, but that has only confirmed the club are a laughing stock, according to fans on Twitter.
The 28-year-old sealed a £56million move to the Emirates on Deadline Day, and his signing meant that Gunners’ frontline now spells ‘LMAO’.

The acronym – short for ‘Laughing my a*** off’ – could also describe fans’ reaction to Arsenal’s recent form, following their 3-1 loss to Swansea on Tuesday evening.
Aubameyang will now become part of the formidable attack boasting the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil.
And the quartet could all get their first taste of football together when Arsene Wenger‘s men face Everton on Saturday.
Supporters were quick to see the funny side of the new frontline, with one fan commenting: “Wait so that means, LMAO! XD Wow, Arsenal is now a complete joke.”

While another tweeted: “Not being happy with being a joke, Arsenal’s offensive lineup is now LMAO.”
And the banter didn’t stop there, with one fan saying: “Lacazette, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Ozil. The LMAO is complete. Not sure how to take this nickname bc (sic) we’ve been the joke of the league all season….”
