FIFA 17 front cover: Marco Reus beats Eden Hazard and Anthony Martial to become global cover star of new FIFA game


MARCO REUS will be the global cover star of the upcoming FIFA 17 game.

The Borussia Dortmund ace won the honour after a fans’ vote, beating Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez.

3.1million votes were cast.

Reus said: “I’m honoured to join a very distinguished group of footballers to appear on the cover of FIFA. Most of all I am humbled that the fans have chosen me. I will strive to make them proud with my performance on the pitch.”

Reus joins an elite group of international football superstars who have appeared on the cover of FIFA over the years.

It has been quite the week for Reus. He was named captain of Dortmund, been reunited his friend Mario Gotze and now announced as the cover star for FIFA.
