Former Manchester City frontman Caicedo was the La Liga side’s top scorer last season.
But Flores may have to do without the Ecuador international as Watford line up a £13million bid.
Espanyol have already flogged starters Alvaro Gonzalez and Anaitz Arbilla this week and reports in Spain suggest Caicedo, 27, will follow them out of the today.

Sources in Spain claim that the Premier League side have jumped ahead of Deportivo La Coruna, Malaga and Celta Vigo in the race for the attacker with a big-money move.
Espanyol are keen for the deal to go through as early as possible on deadline day so they can bring in a replacement.
Caicedo was signed for City by Sven-Goran Eriksson for £5.2m in January 2008.
He scored four Premier League goals in 28 games for the club.
